1. I Never Thought I would be able to say that my daughter would be close to her cousins in age. Being 13 years younger than my sister I always thought my kids would grow up like I did. I grew up not really knowing my cousins or even my siblings to that matter. But I am happy to say that tomorrow my sister Melissa will be having her 3rd child which will be almost 2 months younger than Kaylie. We can't wait to meet the new baby and happy that Kaylie will have a cousin that is the same age as her.
2. I Never Thought that I would be able to say that I met my husband and best friend back in grade school. Sure, every girl has that dream that they will marry a prince and have a family with them. I just never knew I would get that from the start. Who knew that my first real boyfriend would be my last. I am so glad that I met Zach because he is my everything and my best friend. He has been there for me through my tough high school years and we made it through our first year of college in a long distance relationship. And now, we take on our hardest challenge yet being the best role models and parents for Kaylie that we can be, but I am up for the challenge with my best friend by my side...I love you Zachariah Paul with all my heart.
3. I Never Thought I would have to learn quickly how to feed a baby in the grocery store. A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I were out shopping when Kaylie woke up from a long nap. Of course, my baby was very hungry and we were at HyVee. So what did I do? Well I got the bottle out and started feeding her...thankful at that time that I was not breastfeeding. It was easy to do at first, until it was time to burp her now that was the challenge. So I got her out and burped her and then kept feeding her while I carried her down the aisle. I was very thankful that my mom was there to help me put things in the cart or else it could have been an interesting trip to the store.
4. I Never Thought that I could love someone as much as I love this baby. She makes my day light up, even if it is after she spit up all over the outfit I just put on her. That smile just gets me. Motherhood truly is one of the greatest things ever and I am glad that I am getting to experience it,
