8 Months Old already!

Okay with Thanksgiving it took me a long time to get around to this post:

Movement: Oh my godness, do we move now! We are officially crawling now. She crawls everywhere especially to places that she can pull herself up on. She loves to stands or crawl; she doesn't sit still very well at all.

Eating: She usually has five 6 oz. bottles a day, at 7 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., & 8:00 p.m. She also has a half a tub of fruit & cereal at like 11:00 a.m and a half of tub of veggies in the afternoon at 1:00 p.m. or so. She then usually has table food at dinner time with us. She would definately perfer table food than baby food. She ate a lot of her Thanksgiving dinner. She loves green bean casserole, but we think that the Cream of Mushroom didn't sit very well with her stomach because she spit up quite a bit that day. The other day she had tater tots, green beans & corn and she loved them all. We haven't found anything that she doesn't like yet.

Teeth: No Teeth Yet!

Sleep: Sleep has been a little rough. We are finally trying the cry out method and it seemed to help at night. Monday night she cried for 45 minutes, but Tuesday & Wednesday it was only a few minutes. Naps are still rough, she doesn't really nap at daycare and when mommy tries she cries a lot. Hopefully it will get better :)

Voice: She still loves the sound of her voice. "Da da " is her favorite thing to say. I think she is starting to understand what she is saying. When she says it to me I am always correcting her by saying, "No I'm Ma Ma." She looks at me and smiles, pretty sure she knows that she is calling me the wrong name and she finds it funny. We both think the other day that she said "All Done." Don't know seems a little crazy, but we both thought we heard it. I think she is starting to say "Ba Ba" now. Not sure what it is for, maybe that is what she is going to call me now. Ha Ha.

Favorites: Her daddy is one of her favorites, she seems to enjoy playing with him and she gets really excited when he comes home. I have to say that I love to watch the two of them interact. Standing is her favorite right now, she stands on everything even when we don't want her to. I hate when she stands on chairs because it would be her luck that it would tip on her.

Diaper Size: Still 2 Diapers during the day & 3 at night

Clothes Size: She can still fit into most of her 6 month outfits, but we are starting to put them away and get her into 9 month. I figured it makes more sense for her to be in 9 months when she is 8 months old!

Halloween/Family Vacation

Well it has been awhile so I thought I would tell you about our first official family vacation and our baby girl's first Halloween.

We decided this summer that Kaylie was too little to do a family vacation so we decided to wait and go this fall. My sister Melissa asked us to join them in going to the Mall of America. Since Kaylie loves to shop we thought it would be a great trip and mommy and daddy could get a little Christmas shopping done...yes I know I am always way ahead of schedule with this.

We left on Friday morning and made our way up there. Kaylie did awesome in the car, sleeping about half of the way. We made great time and got up there right around lunch time. We got checked and decided to head to the Mall. We did a little looking around and then grabbed some lunch. We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping. That night we went swimming with Melissa and the girls. Kaylie loved it, she is really a water baby. She would stay in her baths all night if we let her. We then ordered dinner in and it was time for the kids to go to bed. We figured Kaylie would be okay in her pack-n-play because she had been sleeping all week in it because we were having some work done on the house. But she only slept a few hours and then woke up crying. We finally got her to go to sleep with us in the bed, against everything that I ever wanted to do. And she woke up a few more times, but went straight back to bed.

Saturday, we started with breakfast at the hotel and Zach, Kaylie, Dennis & Luke drove to the mall and Melissa, Katelyn, Elizabeth and I took the shuttle there. We got there and heard that Saturdays they have a free family flick at the theater so we decided to go. This was Kaylie's first movie and she loved it. It was It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown so it was really short, but she did great. We then decided to do a little shopping, we had to make a stop at the new Disney Store because it was their grand opening that day. I wasn't impressed because I
thought the old store was bigger and much less crowded. We did lunch at the mall and then did a little more shopping. We decided to go back in the middle of the afternoon so relax and go to the pool again. Luke joined us this time, he wasn't quite sure, but I'm sure next summer Kaylie and him will be swimming like crazy. We all then went back to the Mall to eat at one of our favorite Bubba Gump's. The girls then wanted to go on the Rides so we went down there for a little bit but Kaylie got tired so the three of us headed back. Again we had another horrible night, and we even thought about leaving. Kaylie was up from 11:30 p.m.-1 :30 a.m. We finally got her back to sleep and we got up and had breakfast. We left early because  Zach had to get back to coach his last two soccer games. It was a fun time, but we think we will be waiting on the hotel for a little bit.

On to Halloween, it wasn't real exciting since we couldn't go trick or treating yet. We did go over to Grandma & Grandpa Boe's and pass out candy. I think Kaylie had lots of fun because she got to see all the kids. Next year, we can't wait to take our little girl treat-or-treating.
