Things I Never Thought I would Say or Do...Thursday

1. I NEVER knew how excited I would be over something like my baby rolling over: I don't think you understand the small milestones to a baby growing up until you have your own child. I knew rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy were a big deal for a baby, but I didn't know how proud a parent could be over something that some would think was small.

2. I NEVER knew how excited I would be to have Zach take Kaylie's 3 month photos. We decided since we have the nice camera and both went to school for creative fields, we were going to try it. I have been doing a little research to get some information and I have some cute ideas. I am just hoping that she will cooperate. I will post them on here after they are done.

3. I NEVER thought I would say how good working out felt. We have been trying to go to the gym 3 times a week, but for a few weeks we weren't going at all again. So this week we picked it up again and I was surprised how good it felt. I have never enjoyed working out, but Tuesday I did. We will see how it goes tonight.

Kaylie Renee is 3 Months Old...What a Big Girl!

Movement: Kaylie is starting to move a lot now and yesterday was a big day because she rolled from her tummy to her back at Grandma Boe's. I am so glad that I happened to be off today so I could see it. We have noticed when she wakes up in the morning she has moved. She loves to move unless she is sleepy. She is now not really wanting to lay down unless she is tired. She loves to sit and stand up now and she is always kicking her feet about. A little soccer player in the making...maybe.

Eating: She is eating about 5 oz. every 3 to 4 hours. Although, the one doctor told me that was too much, I'm giving her as much as she wants. Sorry that doctor pissed me off that day...ha ha. Oh well our regular doctor said that babies are good about eating only what they need. She loves to eat, but she still is a skinny one for her age (which is okay with us).

Teeth: No teeth yet...but her cousin Katelyn is convinced that she has her two bottom teeth. LOL, got to love that girl. :)

Sleep: She is a really good night sleeper, not the greatest napper. She usually goes to bed at 8:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. and wakes up between 6:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. And she now gives us a great big smile in the morning when we go get her out of her crib. Starts my day out great!! The afternoon is another story; this is about the only time she is mad. She gets herself over tired because she doesn't want to sleep and miss out. Then we go from happy baby to screaming baby in seconds. It is strange. Mommy has been really working at trying to get her to sleep in her crib, she doesn't sleep as well as she does in the car seat, but we are getting there. Maybe next month I will be telling you how well she is doing in her
crib for naps.

Voice: Voice...I think this is one of her favorite things right now. She loves to her herself talking and we love to listen to it. I love when she cracks herself up that is the best sound to a mommy...well at least this one. She loves to talk in the car, while we are shopping or even just talking to her doggie, Spot. We love that now she is starting to notice us more and she is smiling and giggling when she sees us.

Favorites: Her pink & white doggie, she loves talking and smiling at it. She is still loving her gym; she loves to kick and hit all the toys. This month she has really found her fingers; she loves to suck them. They seem to calm her too which is pretty nice because she goes to sleep better. She doesn't seem to favor any finger...she loves them all. I didn't want her to really suck on her thumbs so that is why we did a pacifier, but it didn't work she found her fingers and doesn't really care for the pacifier anymore.

Diaper Size: Still in size 1 diapers

Size (Weight & Length): She is still tall and skinny. She is 10 lbs 8 oz. and 24 3/4 inches. What a big girl!!!

Clothes Size: Still in 0-3 months, I think she will be in them for a little bit still...probably another month or so.

Things I Never Thought I would Say or Do...Thursday

1. I NEVER thought I would say that I would be in a car that caught on fire with a baby in it...okay so let me explain. Trust me I wish I wouldn't be able to say this. So we have kind of being thinking we needed to replace the Blazer so we were looking at Auto Trader and found this 2004 Dodge Durango. We went and looked at it last night and loved it, but they couldn't find the keys so Zach couldn't test drive it. Well Dan Deery called back this morning and found the keys so Zach drove it and fell in love. So next was getting the finances figured out. Zach worked on it all day and around 4:45p.m. we headed to US Bank. On the way to US Bank the Blazer turned off, he got it back on and it turned off again so we stopped in a parking lot.  I then looked at my side and smoke was coming into the car so Zach popped the hood and Chris yelled, "GET THEM OUT." "Them being myself and our baby girl in her car seat in the back. Kaylie was on Zach's side so he got her out quick and I jumped out. They got the small fire that was on a wiring harness out and we headed to US Bank in Chris's Truck. So then this made Zach and I very unhappy because we were banking on the fact that we were going to get $1,400 out of the Blazer, but now we aren't going to get anything for it unless the junkyard will give us something.

When we got the bank they couldn't give us a check because they needed our payslips from two times before and a few other things. So this just made out night even better. By this point I was so frustrated that I began to cry, which then made them feel sorry for us and they called Dan Deery. The lady wanted to know if we could have a loaner for the night and then we would get them the check. They told her that we could write a check for the full amount and then tomorrow we could come back and give them a check from US Bank. We are now proud but nervous owners of a New Used 2004 Black Durango. Which will be great for going on family trips and camping next summer and even better for when we have another child.

Well I think that is enough for this week, next weekend we are going to try to do Kaylie's 3 month photos so I will try to get them uploaded so everyone can see them.

What is NEW...

So what is going on at the Everman House???

Well first, my mom found out today that she will be getting hip surgery the end of July or early August. What does that mean? It is time to look into daycare...yippy! NOT! I called the lady down the street from us, but of course she is full so we are looking at going to a center in the Industrial Park. I like it, but I don't think I have Zach real set on it yet. Update to come.

Well today we had a scary moment, I got a text message from my mom that our oldest niece flipped her car 3 times. Luckily, she is safe, but is a little beat up. Makes you thank god for everything in your life. So glad that she is safe and sound. We love ya Dom!

Miss Kaylie is growing like a weed. She is really getting good at holding her head up; she really hates to lay down unless she is playing on her gym or sleepy. She also likes to stand. We have noticed that when she gets really mad and is laying on her gym she is moving a good 6 inches or so. I don't think I am ready for the rolling stage yet. We haven't rolled yet, but I think it could be any day now. She had her first set of shots on Monday and really took them like a champ, but about 2 p.m. she woke up from a nap and just started screaming. It was hard on me to watch my baby in pain, but I just loved her and gave her some medicine. Now, I'll be ready for her 4 month shots...joy!

Soon I will be writing about our baby turning 3 months...time is flying already.

Things I Never Thought I would Say or Do...Thursday

Sorry couldn't think of anything to write about last week....

1. I never thought I would say that I miss being pregnant, I miss having that little baby surprise me with a little kick. I loved to feel her move and know that I couldn't screw her up yet. I had a lot better self esteem when I was pregnant which is weird since I gained 20 pounds. I guess I didn't care when it had to do with my baby.

2. I never thought I would complain about hot days after last summer. Last summer we didn't get too many hot days, but these last few days that were in the high 90's where awful. I wanted hot, but not that hot. Today would have been great weather if it hadn't stormed.

Well those are the only two things I can think of right now....
